PK/CMS Weekly Optional Summer Running Locations/Dates:
Every Monday, Thursday, and Friday mornings at 6:30 am.
Summer running for 2024 has ENDED.
Tuesday and Thursday @ LeRoy Oaks Forest Preserve @ 6:30 am - 7:45 am.
Located off Dean Street and Rt. 64, entrance on south side of Leroy just off Dean St. (meet @ large pavilion)
Friday @ PK Middle School Track @ 6:30 am - 7:45 am. (Meet on the Track)
What to Wear/Bring:
Check the weather the day before and dress appropriately for it
Plenty of water!!

WORKOUT INFORMATION
Off-season running is extremely important for athletes to build a solid base and lessen injury for the season. The coaching staff expects those athletes interested in competing in Cross Country to be active and complete at least 3 running workouts a week (Monday, Thursday, and Friday workouts). We look forward to a hard working summer and a successful fall season!
All distance workouts have a time frame in which to run. Athletes should choose the time that they think would be best for them. Sometimes less is more!
All workouts should include warm-up, drills, and cool down. Your warm-up should be at least 5 minutes and the cool down between 3 and 5 minutes. These are nice and easy runs, not sprints, where you should break a sweat, but are not out of breath.
